I got the same experience some weeks ago with a new USB stick SanDisk Cruzer mini 1.0GB: working on the platform Windy XP but not on OS2 eComStation 1.2 (German).

Having made all the partitioning with DFSee 8.0 (many thanks to Jan van Wijk), the USB stick worked very good - more smoothly than before, also with my Windy XP desktop machine and my Windy 98SE laptop (yes - I can't work without Windy because of my clients, using these platforms). So I can recommend this USB stick.
