I just installed an X1050 board in place of the X300. The latest SNAP (3.1.8) identifies the chip as an X550 and so far seems to work just fine with an LG flat panel display.

Alan Beagley, 2009 or 2010/01: I have a Samsung with the same resolution and snap shows this resolution and runs the monitor just fine. My video card is an ATI X1050, which snap thinks is an X550 (the latter being the chip on the card). I'm using the DVI interface. 1920x1080
