My new machine with dual-core Athlon X2 and Asus A8N-E motherboard (nForce4 chip) works fine in SMP mode using ACPI 2.7 or 2.9 as long as I use an IDE drive connected to the on-board IDE controller.

But I really wanted to continue using my much faster SCS drives. First I tried my old Tekram DC390U3W card (LSI Logic chip) using the SYM_HI.ADD driver that comes with eCS, but no matter what switches (in addition to /SMP) I used on the PSD=ACPI.PSD line, the machine would crash with a Trap 000d just as it was about to display the desktop.

People reported that they were using Adaptec AHA29160 cards with OS/2 SMP (but using the standard IBM OS2APIC.PSD), so I bought one of those and tried it, using AICU160.ADD. Same result: works with the /UNI parameter or with the W4 kernel, loader and DOSCALL1.DLL, but crashes with Trap 000d when I try to use it in SMP mode.

I suspect that the problem is an adverse interaction between the SCSI adapter and the video card or motherboard (or both). No matter which PCI slot (only 3 available) I use for the SCSI card, it shares IRQ11 INT#A with the PCI-Express video card and one of the on-board USB controllers.

Anything that the ACPI develpers can do to help me?
